Executive Chef: Chef Oshie Morrisette
From a young age, Chef Oshie knew he was destined for the kitchen. At just 12, he declared his dream of becoming a chef, setting in motion a journey that would bring him back to his own kitchen and family business in Floyd, VA. After earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Chef Oshie traveled to Napa, CA, to train at the prestigious Culinary Institute of America. There he worked alongside some of the world’s best chefs and immersing himself in the art of fine dining and wine.
His culinary adventures took him to renowned vineyards and iconic kitchens, including the historic Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC. where he further developed his love and artistry of southern traditions. After accomplishing his dream of becomming a chef, Chef Oshie returned to Chateau Morrisette as Exectutive Chef, bringing a new level of artistry and passion to the kitchen. Chef Oshie's commitment to elevated southern cuisine shines through in every dish, as he blends innovation with tradition and he and his team craft cuisine that's both beautiful and delicious.
Chef Oshie’s dedication to farm to table cuisine goes beyond just a philosophy; it’s a way of life for him and the Morrisette family. With ingredients sourced locally and a new initiative to grow fresh produce on-site, he and his team craft dishes that reflect the beauty and bounty of Virginia. From house-made pasta to corn grits ground daily, every meal is a celebration of fresh flavors and family heritage.

Emma has developed a passion for seasonal ingedients, skillfully blending tradtional and innovative techniques to create dishes the perfectly compliment the winery's distinctive offerings. Emma has worked closely with Chef Oshie, contributing to an ever evolving menu that celebrates the regions rich produce and fine wines. Known for her creativity and attention to detail, and commitment to quality, Emma plays a crucial role in bringing the kitchen's vision to life.

PET FRIENDLY: Thinking about traveling with your pet? Chateau Morrisette is known as "the winery the dogs built." We welcome all your canine companions provided they are well behaved and kept on a leash. Dogs are a part of our heritage, and we enjoy sharing our space and facilities with them. Bring them with you to our tasting room, festivals, grounds and outdoor dining on the patio.
DIRECTIONS: We're pretty easy to find. Just take a drive down the Blue Ridge Parkway and you will find us at Milepost 171.5 where Black Ridge and Rock Church Roads cross the Parkway. When the Blue Ridge Parkway is closed, it can be less straightforward. We've included directions from key cities and towns with alternate directions to make it easy when the Parkway is closed.
