When will my wine order ship?
We have great success getting wine orders into the hands of FedEx within 3 business days. We often ship faster, but due to fluctuating order volume, please don't worry or feel it necessary to contact customer service to check on your shipment unless you don't get a shipment notice email 3 business days (M-F excepting holidays) after you place your order with us, or within 5 business days during our wine sales.
Do you ship to PO Boxes?
Alcohol deliveries require an adult signature, so we cannot deliver to a Post Office Box. Please provide your physical address for delivery and your billing address for credit card processing.
How much does it cost to ship your wine and what about flat rate shipping?
Save big with a flat rate of $15 per case or partial case when you spend over $400 on an order with us. When ordering online, the $15 per case shipping is only visible at the confirmation page; regular shipping rates appear before that screen.
If you're ordering less than $400, that's okay too. Our rates for FedEx ground shipping start at just under $20 per case for deliveries to most locations in VA, WV, NC, and SC.
What are deadlines for 2-Day shipping?
2-Day orders received by 11a Monday-Friday will go to FedEx that day (excepting holidays). Orders received after that time will be shipped the next business day (M-F, excepting holidays).
How do returns, missed deliveries, and cancellations work?
Normally, wine cannot be returned, though there are exceptions. When you order wine, if it cannot be delivered in three attempts, FedEx will return it to Chateau Morrisette. If this occurs, we must charge you the full shipping cost (with no flat rate discount) in order to re-ship your wine, or you may request a refund of charges at that time, and we will refund the amount of your purchase less all shipping and return handling costs (full amount, no discounted flat rate) plus a 10% restocking cost.
Why do you need my birthdate?
You must be 21 to purchase and receive alcohol. We check every order to ensure compliance with current state regulations. In many cases, this means checking your name and birthday with your state's records. If the name and birthday do not match, you may need to call customer service to complete your order. FedEx will require someone 21 or older to sign for your wine at delivery.
Which states do you ship to, and how much wine can you send me?
We can ship gift items and tickets to any state. However, each state has different regulations about shipping alcohol. Some states prohibit shipping alcohol completely or charge prohibitive fees for us to register our wines. Your state may also regulate alcohol shipping amounts; in many states (not all) we are limited to shipping a maximum of two cases a month to the same person.
Can I pick up my wine at the winery?
If you're ordering a case or more and are visiting us in 2 - 5 business days (except during our special events), you can place your order by phone and we can have your wine ready for pickup at the Tasting Room during normal business hours. We cannot accommodate orders for pickup during our wine sales or special events unless you are a wine club member.
