About This Wine
This medium bodied, deep red wine's fruity bouquet is infused with traces of cranberry and cherry, with suggestions of smoke. Classical Merlot bright fruit and black plum flavors are enhanced by raspberry, tobacco box and anise tones, pleasing oak tannins and a lingering finish. Complexity and structure were augmented by the addition of small amounts of Petit Verdot and Tannat in the final blend.
Aroma: Smoky, cherry strawberry. Palate: Tart cherry, cranberry, herb and spice. Finish: Long, raspberry, dusty tannins, black tea. Medium bodied.
Food and Wine Pairing
Pair with heavier game such as venison, grilled meats, or mushroom-based sauces and mushroom-based stews.
This wine may age for 6 years or more. Aging is an imprecise art; excessive aging could lead to a negative effect. Ideally, try some every year and enjoy the wine’s journey. Keep at a uniform temperature - 55 degrees is best. It is perfectly normal for a well aged wine to develop minor sediment in the bottle and on the cork surface.
