Château Morrisette's Writers Dinner
A Dinner and Reading with Virginia Authors

Join us for our second dinner and reading with Virginia
authors. A variety of readers both local and regional will grace us with stories, poems and songs celebrating the patriotism of the Blue Ridge mountains. We will dine over three lovely courses, while being entertained with the written word. Authors will arrive early for book signings before the event and stay late afterwards. $35 per person. Advance Tickets Only.

Château Morrisette's Writers Dinner

First Course: Fresh Mixed Green Salad, baby tomatoes & cucumbers with your choice of dressing. Served with warm artisan bread and herbed butter.

Second Course: Chicken "Cordon Blue" Plump Chicken Breast marinated in an herbal melange, and generously stuffed with Virginia Ham and Gruyere cheese. Lightly breaded and then sauteed golden brown, Chef finishes the dish with a flavorful chicken thyme jus. Served over Wild Rice Pilaf with smoky grilled asparagus spears.

Third Course: Finish the evening with Kentucky Bourbon Pecan Pie, served warm with creamy Vanilla ice cream on top!

Cinda Crawford, President of the Blue Ridge Pens. "The Gift" is published in "Chicken Soup for the Soup, Celebrating Mothers and Daughters." James Renwick Manship, Sr.
"George Washington LIVES!" is a three dimensional portrait by nationally acclaimed historian James Renwick "States" Manship. Noah Webster wrote in a.d.1828 "Literary power and statesmanship were combined in George Washington..." Photo taken at the Harry Truman library on 8 May a.d. 2000.

Fred First
From Fred's weblog (fragmentsfromfloyd.com) has come his book, "Slow Road Home", a Floyd County memoir. He pens a biweekly column for the Floyd Press and is a regular contributor of NPR essays at WVTF. Writing follows Fred's first two careers in biology education and physical therapy. The author, Chuck McCorvey, Sr. is an electronics engineer with more than forty years experience in electronic warfare, cryptography, and the world of intrigue that is intelligence gathering. Reverend Denise Rotival Huffman
Reverend Denise Rotival Huffman is a retired Methodist minister, teacher and public speaker. She has lived abroad and in Latin America and now resides in Roanoke, Virginia. She began her writing career a little over six months ago and plans to write memoirs and human interest stories.
Sharon Moore Myers
Sharon Myers, retired wheelchair athlete, continues traveling around the world promoting equal access for the physically impaired. Sharon will read "Pursuing the American Dream." John M. Koelsch
John M. Koelsch took early retirement in 2004. He writes novels, short stories, and poetry. He is currently in the final editing of his novel on his Vietnam experiences. His poetry collections include: "Hello Joe Joe" and "Forever In Black." John currently resides in Salem, Virginia, with his wife Nancy.
Tristan Perry, PhD
Tristan Perry, PhD, lives in Christiansburg with her husband and toy poodles. The author's work has been featured on television and regional newspapers in Virginia, Tennessee, and North Carolina.
